“The overall effectiveness of the school is good. The headteacher is an inspirational leader and the strong leadership shown by the senior team has galvanized the school community and taken them on a journey of refl ection and development. The headteacher’s passion and drive have led to an overwhelmingly positive sense of community and care within the school. She has been ably supported by effective governors at the school, who set challenging expectations”. DCI June 2018

We are delighted to announce that St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy has been invited to participate in a pilot visit from Ofsted on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th November to trial the new inspection framework.  This is an excellent opportunity for Team SPH to gain invaluable insights into the new framework in advance of Ofsted’s launch to all schools nationally in 2019.  Throughout the inspection, some of the activities may be used to gather evidence but the process ‘will not contain any critique or lead to judgements’, ‘nor will it be used on any future inspection of the school’.
On Friday 26th October, students will be allowed to wear non-uniform. A £1 donation will be required and the chosen charity donations will be presented to is ‘Winning Women Worldwide’. ‘Winning Women Worldwide’ works in countries such as Zimbabwe and Zambia to provide for religious activities; to support the advancement of healthcare; to help the prevention or relief of poverty and offers financial aid where necessary.
